PRP therapy is considered a state-of-the-art technique, used for about 10 years in our center.

PRP is a concentrate of platelets obtained by centrifugation of blood taken from the patient, which makes it possible to remove the other blood components (red and white blood cells).
PRP has healing properties through its growth factors.

PRP injection :

  • It is done under local anesthesia under ultrasound control.
  • For osteoarthritis of the knee, hip or shoulder, the injection of PRP is intra-articular.
  • For ligament and tendon injuries, is done by injecting PRP directly into the injury
  • The number of injections varies according to the results, from 1 to 3, separated by 2 weeks to 1 month.
